Chair: Katlyn Kichko
Katlyn Kichko is currently enrolled in her third year of an Honors History degree with a complementary minor in Political Science. Katlyn’s research focuses on Anglo-Dutch relations within the Seventeenth Century, particularly as it pertains to political policy, trade policy, economics, and King William’s War; her undergraduate thesis will focus on the Glorious Revolution of 1688 as a focal point of integral change, as well as its political aftermath within England itself. This is Katlyn’s third year with HSMUN; she participated as a delegate in her senior year of High School representing Germany in Legal Committee and volunteered last year as both a Diplomatic Aide and Vice Chair of WHO. She has also participated in several conferences in which she engaged within the UNHCR representing Denmark, the Paris Peace Conference of 1917 representing Czechoslovakia, and Security Council representing the United Kingdom. Katlyn’s interests include giving fun historical facts (or impromptu lectures) to anyone, regardless if they asked her for them or not, and engaging in political and historical debate.
Vice-Chair: Sean Harper
Sean is currently working as a wedding DJ and swim instructor in order to save up money for university. He is interested in going into Psychology at the U of A and pursuing mediation with the aforementioned psychology degree. Sean attended HSMUN in both 2016 and 2017 as a delegate. In 2016 he represented Cuba in the ECOFIN council and the following year Saudi Arabia in the HRC. Sean is interested in music production, mediation and digital design.
FPA: Hyelin Sung
Hyelin Sung is a first year Nursing Student at the University of Alberta. She took part in High School Model United Nations throughout high school as a delegate on SOCHUM and Security Council. This is her first time volunteering with HSMUN and she is very excited to be helping with the conference. Outside of school, Hyelin likes to find new interesting places to eat with her friends. She also enjoys running and painting in her free time.
FPA: Roisin Graham
Roisin is one of SOCHUM’s foreign policy advisors this year! She has one year of experience at HSMUN and experience at the model UN camp SUNIA. She has experience was as a delegate at SOCHUM and has a particular passion for social issues, environmental studies and history. Roisin also participated in speech and debate and continues her passion for public embarrassment at University debate. She is a first year student in Faculty of Arts and currently undeclared but while she remains lost in her educational path, her passion for learning is guaranteed! Some other passions of her’s include Avatar the Last Airbender and Blue Planet – especially all the whale parts. She looks forward to help students navigate the trials and tribulations of foreign policy and international cooperation!
