Important Changes 2017

Laptop Policy

Students are encouraged to bring laptops/tablets/iPads, etc. this year. Although the aforementioned electronic devices will be allowed in committee, we would like to remind students that inappropriate use of electronic devices will result in the loss of this privilege and or removal from committee. We encourage students to use their laptops to draft resolutions as well as research foreign policy and new areas of debate.

Fee Subsidies

We also now offer fee subsidies for students who cannot afford to pay the full $70 fee. The application form can be found here: Fee Subsidy Form , and should be emailed by the teacher or student to hsmun@ualberta.ca at or before the time of delegate registration. We will respond with our decision as quickly as posssible.

If you have any questions regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to contact the Secretary-General, Keon Collett, at hsmun@ualberta.ca.

No Pizza Lunch

Do to rising costs, a pizza lunch will not be provided to students on the Saturday of the conference. Students are expected to bring or buy lunch and return to their committees before the closing ceremonies. In light of this, we are excited to keep delegate fees at $70/person.
