This year, we will be assigning all the spots for each country to one school delegation.
For example, A school that requests the United States and is assigned the United States will represent the United States in every committee. If they have 18 students to register, since the United States has 9 spots in the conference (One per committee, with two each in the Historical and Security Council committees), they may request another country for their remaining 9 students. Teacher supervisors may then sort students as they see fit into their specific committee spots.
Our Security Council and Futuristic Security Council (2033) will both include crises this year.
Please note that we need to receive your cheque to confirm your registration, and that we will not email your country assignments before receiving your cheque.
No Pizza Lunch
Do to rising costs, a pizza lunch will not be provided to students on the Saturday of the conference. Students are expected to bring or buy lunch and return to their committees before the closing ceremonies. In light of this, we are excited to keep delegate fees at $70/person.
Payment from school sponsored groups must come in the form of a school cheque, with one cheque being submitted for all students, or all groups of students.
In the case of individual registrants (homeschoolers and independents), personal cheques will still be accepted providing that they clearly outline the participant’s name, country, and committee.
Students are encouraged to bring laptops/tablets/iPads, etc. this year. Although the aforementioned electronic devices will be allowed in committee, we would like to remind students that inappropriate use of electronic devices will result in the loss of this privilege and or removal from committee. We encourage students to use their laptops to draft resolutions as well as research foreign policy and new areas of debate.
We now offer fee subsidies for students who cannot afford to pay the full $70 fee. The application form can be found here, and should be emailed by the teacher or student to email@example.com at or before the time of delegate registration. We will respond with our decision as quickly as posssible.
